Ebenezer Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ

About Us

Our Ministry

The Ebenezer Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ is an anointed, Spirit-filled, body of Christ1 that worships the Lord in spirit and in truth.  Ebenezer was established in 1950 at 215 Louisiana Street in the City of Richmond, Virginia.  Elder Benjamin Lewis pastored Ebenezer from its founding until his death in 2004. We are chartered and adhere to the doctrine and teachings of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc.

From its inception, Ebenezer has been a place where hundreds have found refuge for their souls through the unadulterated word of God2.  God has wrought many miracles:  the lame have walked; the blind have seen; the sick have been healed; and addicts have been delivered; all through the preached word and laying on of holy hands!  Many have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.  Many have received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Many new churches have been established; and many “Sons of the gospel” have instituted great works for the Lord.

Even this day, the Holy Ghost fire continues to rain down in Ebenezer from on high, as we move forward under the leadership of our anointed Pastor, Elder Ernest Wilford.  We invite you to join us in our worship experience!

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

St. Matthew 11:29

1 Ephesians 1:21-23:
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

2  II Timothy 4:2:

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
